Any small amount of dirt or grit will mess up our newly rebuilt transmission. There are certain tools that are a must to rebuild some transmission. Always remember to soak all friction materials for 30 minutes in transmission fluid before installing. We recommend that the torque converter be replaced with a new remanufactured converter. The old torque converter will be full of old dirty fluid. Do you really want to dump all that dirty fluid back into your newly rebuilt automatic transmission?
